12 November 2026 marks the 160th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr Sun Yat-sen, a great national hero, a great patriot, and a great forerunner of China's democratic revolution. Hong Kong was an important place where Dr Sun Yat-sen conceived his revolutionary ideas and pursued his studies, bearing a deep historical connection with his revolutionary journey.

To reflect on Dr Sun Yat-sen's immortal contributions to national independence, social progress and the people's well-being, and to enable members of the public to understand his life and contributions from diverse perspectives, the HKSAR Government has organised a series of thematic commemorative activities.
